The roof is on and the house is wrapped! Everyone is loving the roof shingles I selected. It's funny how each new detail gets everyone excited. I'm excited that I got to use shingles that were't gray or black.
When building a new home most clients feel compelled to stricly follow the architect's design details. The Williams have afforded me creative liscense to customize their home's details to better suit their tastes.
Giving your bedroom a fresh look for spring and summer is as easy as changing your linens. I chose this white duvet and shams to lighten the rich tones of the window treatments and pillows. The monogram adds a classic detail.
Can you say movie night? Replacing the old outdated sofa with this sectional from the same upscale consignment shop as the kitchen table increased seating exponentially. Adding the modern abstract canvas enlivened the large wall space above.
Cream colored modern drapery panels with crommet detailing dress the windows. The addition of the two lamps make the space inviting for reading. The large square ottoman can be used for the bachelor to kick up his heels or as a table for game night.
I am a firm believer in repurposing family pieces with sentimental value when appropriate. That said, these will be transformed for a place of prominence in another room. An accessory redo is in order for the mantle.
Hanging the print and drapery panels accentuate the high ceilings. I had the bachelor's existing sofa cleaned and added chairs and ottomans I found at a high end consignment shop. If I could just get rid of those ailing plants...
